Epiphany Opelousas Receives

United Thank Offering (UTO) Grant

The parishioners of Epiphany, Opelousas are thrilled to share that they have been awarded an $82,000 grant from the United Thank Offering (UTO).

This generous grant will support the construction of a community water filling station, helping them grow our impact and share Christ’s love in new and meaningful ways. This grant was written by the Rev. Laurent De Prins, Senior Warden Sarah Kirkpatrick, and lay leader Rena Bradley.

They are grateful to the UTO Board and to all the faithful Episcopalians whose thank offerings made this grant possible. Opelousas has a long history of critical water needs, and this project will allow citizens to receive clean drinking and cooking water while under boil advisories.

Over the coming months, they’ll be sharing stories and updates as the project unfolds. In the meantime, they invite everyone to continue supporting UTO through prayer, participation, and giving.
